Even psychologists have a involved time with this one. They think that it starts around teenage, but, some male children will experiment dressing up in say their sister's dresses and race around the house and turn out to be full-fledged heterosexual males in years to come. psychiatrists don't seem to know when it starts or really why and what I am typing out is basically a guess on why men choose to dress up as full-time females:
Cross-dressing is another term for transvestism, and this and trans-sexuality and the affiliation of both with homosexuality are often misinterpreted, even by some practising crossdressers. A typical transvestite would be a man who appears quite normal at all times when he is not dressing up. He is not likely to be effeminate, will prefer female as his sex partners and will most certainly not want to lose his penis. In contrast, a typical male transsexual will not identify in any way with his physically normal male body. He believes that he is feminine and is trapped in the body of a man. To him, his penis is a mistake of nature and he will want to get rid of it.
Some men use cross-dressing for the purpose of sexual excitement. It seems that the majority of cross-dressers are no more likely to go on to trans-sexuality than a social drinker is to alcoholism or an occasional cannabis user to injecting hard drugs. To be sure everyone has to start somewhere and there is some evidence to suggest that the longer you cross-dress, the further along the continuum may find yourself moving.
After his initial experiences, the cross-dresser will progress to one of 3 main groups:
1/ He will stay with the type of clothing he first used and have a fetish-like fondness to them.
2/ His initial preferences will broaden and he will gently move on to other clothing and finally into the need to be dressed completely as a woman and to fantasize for periods of time that he is a woman, but he will not want to go beyond fantasy and will longing to retain his male libido.
3/ He will fringe trans-sexuality in that he will live and pass as woman for lengthy periods of time. The nothing but real differentiation between these so-named "secondary" transsexuals and the full transsexual is that, again, like all the less extreme crossdressers, they have no need to actually be female.
WHY DO MEN Crossdress?
One theory is that transvestism is a way of expounding a opposition to society's preconceptions about gender. Some men cross-dress because they feel unsatisfied as a man. Others didn't mind the male state, but also like to put on women's clothes occasionally. Some men dress up merely to make a passing social or fashion statement, and some because they have emotional needs that can entirely be sated by the comfort that wearing lingerie provides them.
For many crossdressers, cross-dressing is an extraordinarily sexual exercise. Most transvestites have their first cross-dressing incident around the age of sexual awareness or in adolescence. The first perception is likely to be sexually stimulating and the adolescent will continue with the practice. However, dressing in womens clothing is not just a sexual variation. There are plenty of men who get a sexual thrill from dressing up, but the accepted view of most experts in this field is that they are not in the majority.
One of the main reasons why men cross-dress is to create, in themselves, the ideal woman, so they no longer have to fear rejection, criticism or disappointment which might come with attempted of intercourse with a woman.
Crossdressers usually will do this secretly and anticipate when the family leave the house. They have their day planned! They will even go so far as to shave off body hair, take a hot, perfumed, bubble bath, and dress in something silky. Many males will masturbate (they are male, but feel like they are simultaneously woman) However, many crossdressers just look forward to the think of certain fabrics against their bodies and go no further than simply dressing as a woman. More and more crossdressers are "coming out of the closet" and if lucky, their wives might accept the way they are as long as they keep it behind closed doors and away from friends and family.Most cross-dressers are secret about it and THEY ARE NOT USUALLY Homosexual.
