Ron Paul Supporters Invade Yearly Accepted Crossdresser Parade
Trying to press transvestite behaviour into a two-gendered framework produced a very significant result: transsexualism. I haven't bumped and grinded, and I could become a crossdresser if I wanted. Hirschfeld's transvestites thus were, in today's terms, not just transvestites, but people from all over the transgender spectrum. Hirschfeld himself was not particularly happy with the term: he understood that dresses was purely an outward symbol chosen on the basis of various internal psychological situations. Today dressing in womens clothing is still applied mostly to male-bodied persons.
